Registration Information
Initial Registration:
A non-refundable $50.00 per child fee is due at the time of registration. A three-week per child tuition deposit is due 30 days prior to the contracted start date. If the start date is less than 30 days from time of registration, the three-week deposit must be paid at the time of registration. The deposit will guarantee your child’s enrollment on a specified start date anytime within the 30 day period. The deposit is applied to the first (non-refundable) and last two weeks of a child care tuition. The deposit is held in a non-interest bearing account.
A two-week notice must be given if a family decides not to enroll their child at Rise & Shine Academy (RSA). If notice is given at least two weeks prior to the scheduled start date, the last two week’s portion of the tuition deposit will be fully refunded. However, one week of the three week deposit will be forfeited as a cancellation penalty.
Please note, enrollment dates are guaranteed for up to 30 days from the time of registration. If you register your child and pay the three-week deposit for an enrollment date more than 30 days after the time of registration, Rise & Shine Academy may not be able to guarantee availability on your preferred start date if another family desires to enroll their child in that space on a date earlier than the one you requested. In such cases, you will be given the opportunity to begin your child’s enrollment on that earlier date. You will receive a full-refund of the three-week tuition deposit if you forfeit the space because you choose not to start on the earlier date that the space becomes available.
Withdrawal and Re-Registration:
If you choose to withdraw your child for a period of time and want to re-register for enrollment at a later date, you will follow the procedure described under “Initial Registration.”
Multiple Child Discount:
Multiple child care tuition payments may create a significant financial burden for families. In recognition of this fact, Rise & Shine Academy offers a sibling discount equal to 10% of the weekly tuition to families with multiple children simultaneously enrolled in care for three or more days per week at Rise & Shine Academy.
Income Eligibility Tuition Scholarship:
A partial scholarship may be awarded to families who have applied to receive a child care subsidy from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In order to receive a partial scholarship, families MUST provide documentation that they are on a wait list to receive a child care voucher from their area Child Care Resource and Referral Agency. A partial tuition scholarship may be offered as transitional support until a voucher is awarded.
During the waiting period, families receiving a partial tuition scholarship will pay tuition at a rate equal to the reduced rate paid by the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency that issues vouchers in their geographic region. Eligibility for a tuition scholarship will be re-determined monthly. Tuition scholarships awarded by Rise & Shine Academy will be terminated upon the family’s receipt of a voucher.
